White cheese filled pastry with vinegar and olive oil sauce

A very crispy appetizer with vinegar!

  • 2 sheets filo pastry (Turkish type)
  • Cut strips of filo pastry about 4cm wide to 10 pieces.

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 T apple cider vinegar
  • 2 T flour
  • salt
  • Mix the fluid stuff. Brush each piece of pastry with this mixture.

    for the filling:

  • 100 gr white cheese
  • 40 gr kaşar cheese  (??????)
  • 1 T parsley(chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • Mix the ingredients in a bowl.

    Place the mixture to the brushed pastry at one end.

    Roll up like a cigarette, first folding in the edges so the filling doesn’t drop out.

    for the top:

  • 1 egg yolk (beaten with a fork)
  • nigella seeds
  • Brush top of each börek with egg yolk.

    Place the böreks to a tray, covered with parchment paper.     

    Spread nigella seeds to each börek.
    Bake in 200° C pre-heat oven until golden brown.
