A mouth-watering and a very healthy dessert can be prepared throughout the year with different seasonal fruits.

For the yogurt ice cream:

  • 1 lt. home made yogurt
  • 1/2 cup strained yogurt
  • 175 gr caster sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • Stir all the ingredients until fine smooth by the help of a mixer or a food processor. Pour into a glass bowl with a lid. Freeze 2 hours. Then stir it again for 5 minutes. Let it freeze for another 2 hours again. Repeat the stirring once more. Refrigerate at least 7 hours.

    Fruit cocktail

    For the fruit cocktail:

  • fruit slices (optional- according to the season) I used 1  Golden Delicious apple, 1 banana, 1 orange and 1 satsuma mandarin)
  • 1 T. walnut (coarsely cut or chopped)
  • 1 T. hazelnut (coarsely cut or chopped)
  • 1 T. almond (coarsely cut or chopped)
  • 2 T. Malibu liqueur
  • 4 T. honey
  • 1 T. orange juice
  • Mix and stir Malibu, orange juice and honey. Add the peeled and chopped fruits. Put the half of the chopped walnut, hazelnut and almond in it. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Put this mixture to a champagne glass. Decorate top with a slice of orange and put a ball of yogurt ice cream. Sprinkle the rest of the chopped walnut, hazelnut and almond on top.
